In this program, our professional dance educators will welcome students as they dance their way through popular children’s stories in a playful, imaginative environment. In each lesson, dancers will leverage literature to explore fundamental dance basics that survey a variety of dance styles, including Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Modern and Creative Movement. Through group reading and comprehension activities, creative movement games, technical exercises and choreography practice, students will strengthen their muscles in comprehension, memorization, expression and communication. Along the way, Design Dance educators will meet each student at their level, championing individual needs, interests and social-emotional skills through a holistic learning experience.

Students registered for one of these ateliers can stay at school until 6pm by registering for the Extended Day option.
