Aikido is a Japanese martial art where students learn to throw, fall, and work cooperatively to gain an understanding of their own body. Students will spend the hour with, stretching, rolling, cardio, and partnered practice. Aikido does not rely on a person’s size or strength for effectiveness, and promotes self control and respect.

Our instructor

Andrew Teska is an Aikido instructor at Kiku Matsu Dojo. He is a Certified Instructor of Aikido under the Aikido World Alliance organization and he holds the Rank of Nidan (second degree black belt). Andrew is currently serving as the International Aikido Federation Youth Working Group representative for the USA. He is passionate about sharing the art of Aikido with youth to help them develop their self-confidence, resiliency and physical prowess.

Students registered for one of these ateliers can stay at school until 6pm by registering for the Extended Day option.
