Inspired by sing-along circles at the Old Town School of Folk Music, this after school workshop will give your child a chance to use their developing reading skills, voices, and creative expression in a new way.  Throughout the sessions, we'll create a songbook of child friendly tunes written by American folk music artists ranging from Woody Gutherie to Elizabeth Mitchell and Dan Zanes.  We'll take time to draw and create art pieces that illustrate the songs in our book, study the rhythm and rhyme in the lyrics, and wiggle and dance around to the beat! The final session will include a performance and group sing along where parents and caregivers will be invited to join their child in the workshop for some community music making.  Come sing with us!

Students registered for this ateliers can stay at school until 6pm by registering for the Extended Day option. ​
